St. Patrick’s Day Classroom Party Treats!

Are you getting ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in your classroom? If so, then this post is for you! I’m here to share some great ideas for party treats because it’s always fun to add a little surprise to any holiday celebration in the classroom! But rather than purchasing store bought treats like cupcakes or making everything myself, I usually give the option to parents to send something in if they like. Our parents this year went all out!

Take a look at these fabulous St. Patrick’s Day party treats you might like to serve up in your own classroom:

Families also sent in lots of grapes, a few different kinds of cookies and even some pickles!

Other green themed party treats might include fresh broccoli and dip, celery sticks like ants on a log, shamrock pie cups, green jitter juice, decorated cupcakes, green apple slices, green candies, melon balls, or a real crowd-pleaser…green Rice Krispies treats!

The request note in my classroom newsletter specifically asked for St. Patrick’s Day treats or anything green, including table coverings, napkins, plates and beverages.

The children loved our wee little St. Patrick’s Day classroom party complete with treats, decorations and some good Irish music! Having room parents and parent support for celebrations like this makes it possible to bring more joy into the classroom. I am a big fan of taking a break from the norm to work in some classroom fun especially at the holidays. This is just another way to continue to grow a classroom community your students will fee lucky to be a part of.

If you’re looking for more March fun, you’re in luck! There are many more St. Patrick’s Day teaching ideas for your classroom on my Pinterest page!

Happy teaching!

The rainbow sticks are so cute and easy to make. The kids would enjoy doing this as a party activity if you don't have any volunteers to make them. Hope you had a fun holiday too!
