Reading Comprehension Printable Packet!

If your looking to improve your student’s comprehension skills and at the same time, work on items from the CAFE menu during Daily 5, you might be interested in these Reading Comprehension Worksheets and Book Companions. I say companion, because these activities can be used with ANY book in the context of your whole group, small group reading interventions or Daily 5 Cafe mini-lessons. It was written to address both the CAFE menu and Common Core Standards. You can call it a combo!

As you can see, this packet covers so many reading skills! I especially like that it also encourages written response to reading. There are comprehension worksheets that are the perfect fit for just about any fiction story or nonfiction text!

These activities, for both fiction and informational text, will also help to prepare your students for standardized tests and may be used as a formative assessment at any time. They are the perfect reproducible worksheets and can be used with any book!
