Consider Purchasing Supplies for the Entire Class:
Some teachers prefer to collect a fee in the form of a donation from each family or use grade level or building funds to purchase supplies in bulk. This is a great option to be sure your class has exactly what you want or need!
Send your school supply list or donation request with your welcome letter or ask to have it posted in your school newsletter.
Whichever you choose to do, it is crucial that you get your supply list out to parents quickly so they can take advantage of sales and so that your class is ready to work on the first day of school!

I love those for me, but I stopped letting my students use mechanical pencils. They spent more time messing with them than they did writing lol. Bless their little hearts. 🙂 My favorite item on our supply list is sanitizer! You can never have too much in first grade!
Oh I do love those mechanical pencils! I also love colored pencils. Basically I love all school supplies. I visit the supply aisle at Wal Mart even when I don't need anything!

Teachers Are Terrific!
I love markers, crayons, colored pencils, any fun pen!! I don't love mechanical pencils, but I hardly ever use pencils.
