Peeps!!!! A favorite Easter candy and now a favorite theme for a brand new spring math center to help your students with math fact fluency! I wanted to share some cuteness I created for addition and subtraction practice activity in the classroom!
Setting up an Easter Math Center:
It would be so cute to put the task cards in a small Easter basket at the center! This teaching resource also includes a recording sheet for the students to write the four related facts in the fact family. simply print a copy of the recording sheet for each student. Allow your learners to work in a small group, with a partner, or post the cards around the room if your class needs to get up and move!
Benefits of Using This Spring Teaching Resource:
Your class will LOVE this engaging activity. Who doesn’t love a candy theme especially with the excitement of Easter and all things about the Easter Bunny!
This center is perfect for first and second grade students who are working toward addition and subtraction facts through 20. It’s a fun way to assess students in a quickly and with little prep.
I love these cute marshmallow bunny task cards. Don’t they look good enough to eat?
If you think this is something your students could use to improve their fact family fluency, then head on over to Creative Lesson Cafe at TPT by following the link below!
I love Sour Patch Kids…can't eat too much of other candy as it is too sweet for me! And I am not a Peep fan for that reason…hope you don't disqualify me!

Never! I remember you don't care for conversation hearts either! :)Sour Patch Kids are good and once you get over the initial shock, then it's hard to stop!
I have loved Cadbury eggs since childhood. Now I seem to be on a Kit Kat and Reece's egg addiction!

I can't say I've ever had a Cadbury egg. I love Reese's too!I wonder if they make a dark chocolate Reese's egg? That would be heaven! All this talk is making me hungry!

Peeps! How cute! When we going camping we like to have roasted Peeps…YUM! My candy weakness is anything with chocolate and peanut butter, especially Reese's pieces and Reese's peanut butter cups.

Thanks Lori! I had to think about the title for this item. Are the bunnies still called Peeps or just the chicks? I should know these things! 🙂
I don't know. If you find out let me know!
We must have been separated at birth – I love my Peeps a little stale too. I think I overdosed on them in college though….my favorite are the mini cadbury eggs in the purple package. I'm just glad they make them in smaller pack so I don't end up buying the big ones!
